Benjamin was admitted to practice in the A.C.T. Supreme Court in 2016, having graduated with Honours from the Australian National University (ANU). Throughout university and beyond, Benjamin was director of the joint ANU/Australian Federal Police Courtroom Training Program. Since admission, Benjamin has practiced in the courts of N.S.W., Victoria, A.C.T. and the Commonwealth. He appears in intervention orders, bail applications, pleas, contested hearings and appeals. He has instructed in trials and appeals in County Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. Benjamin believes absolutely in the right to a vigorous defence, the presumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial for all accused persons. Benjamin has appeared before parliamentary committees at state, territory and Commonwealth levels advocating for reform to ensure a fairer and more just legal system for accused persons.
